Guidelines

Submissions for ADHS 12 are now open. The submission deadline for regular papers, invited session proposals, and invited session papers is November 15, 2011. All submissions must be done (in pdf format) through the IFAC Conference Manuscript Management System website at https://ifac.papercept.net

Regular papers: Regular papers can have a length of up to 8 pages at submission. Accepted papers are limited to 6 pages in the conference preprints and on-line proceedings at no extra charge; up to two extra pages are allowed for a charge of EUR 100 each.

Invited session proposals: Invited sessions consist of 4 or 5 papers related to a common theme that fits within the scope of ADHS. An invited session proposal should contain a short description of the common theme as well as the list of papers in the session and their abstracts.
The invited session organizer first has to submit the pdf file of the session proposal (without participating papers). The IFAC Conference Manuscript Management System then returns an acknowledgment that contains an alpha-numeric code for the proposed session.
Subsequently, the organizer has to notify the contributing authors of their invited session code. The corresponding author of each paper then submits the paper on-line as an invited paper.

ADHS'12 submission and registration policies

  • All papers submitted to ADHS 12 must be written in English and formatted in the standard IFAC 2-column format provided on the IFAC Conference Management System website (see the item "Support for Authors" above).

  • For initial submissions, all regular and invited session papers are limited to eight (8) pages. The submission website will not permit longer papers to be uploaded.

  • For the final upload all accepted and invited papers are limited to six (6) pages at no extra charge. Authors may upload longer manuscripts up to a maximum of eight (8) pages total. However, each page in excess of six (6) will incur a charge of EUR 100.

  • For each accepted paper at least one of the authors should have a full registration in order to have the paper included in the preprints and the post-conference on-line proceedings at the IFAC PapersOnLine website. A single full registration allows to upload one (1) paper. Additional uploads on the same registration will require a payment of EUR 250 per paper.

  • Please note: If an author registers at the student registration rate, s/he will not be able to use that registration to upload the final paper.

Copyright Conditions

The material submitted for presentation at an IFAC meeting (Congress, Symposium, Conference, Workshop) must be original, not published or being considered elsewhere. Papers duly presented at the IFAC Congress, Symposia, Conferences and Workshops will be hosted on-line on the IFAC PapersOnLine website. The presented papers will be further screened for possible publication in the IFAC Journals (Automatica, Control Engineering Practice, Annual Reviews in Control, Journal of Process Control , Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, and Mechatronics), or in IFAC affiliated journals. All papers presented will be recorded as an IFAC Publication.

Copyright of material presented at an IFAC meeting is held by IFAC. Authors will be required to transfer copyrights electronically. The IFAC Journals and, after these, IFAC affiliated journals have priority access to all contributions presented. However, if the author is not contacted by an editor of these journals, within three months after the meeting, he/she is free to submit an expanded version of the presented material for journal publication elsewhere. In this case, the paper must carry a reference to the IFAC meeting where it was originally presented and, if the paper has appeared on the IFAC PapersOnline website, also a reference to this publication.
